Janis McConnell
Landscape Designer
Janis approaches design collaboratively, believing that meaningful spaces emerge through an exchange of ideas and perspectives, with deep consideration for the people who will experience and inhabit them.
Hailing from State College, PA, Janis found her own rhythm in Dallas after earning her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Penn State University. Drawn to the ingenuity and complexity of the natural world from an early age, she brings a sense of curiosity and a thoughtful listening ear to her work as a designer. Her time studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain, deepened her interest in large-scale urban design and strengthened her understanding of how thoughtful design can shape communities and everyday encounters. Outside the office, Janis enjoys sketching, exploring the outdoors, attending live music performances and spending time with friends and family.
